There are many reasons to find small amounts in stool. If the blood is on the surface it could be a small internal hemorrhoid. It could also be a polyp.

Initially the doctor will test for blood in the stool this is very simple, he/she will give you a three day card that you wipe a little bit of stool on it then send it into a lab. You will have to beef free and red dye free for at least a week before doing this test.

If this test shows blood in the stool, your doctor may have you do a colonoscopy. You will have to do a colon cleanse, and be on a liquid only diet the day before the test and not drink anything with cola or red dye in it. This is a no big deal test as the doctor doing the test will give you Valium and you will sleep while the test is being done.

Most likely at your age, you most likely have a hemorrhoid.

Check for piles (sorry!)

go get a test for colon cancer or hemroids. either one could cause blood in stool.

I would initially check for internal hemorrhoids. 99% of those men/women under age 35 with stool bleeding from time to time results in that being the answer. Use a hemorrhoids suppository to take care off. OTC is just fine for these issues.

I would schedule a colonoscopy to rule out anything serious.

if the blood is a bright red, then chances are it's haemmoroids, or a tear in side your anus, if the blood is a darker red or brown then it's coming from your bowel, in which case you would needs tests done, one where they insert a camera up your bum to have a look inside your bowel, uncomfortable, but worth it if there's something wrong

You could look into IBS. It is a symptom of it.
