I drink about 4-5 cups of green tea a day, is this actually bad for me?!

Question: I always thought green tea was good and I drink it every day as well as water. But after doing some research, I've read that drinking lots of green tea is actually bad for you because it contains high fluoride content or something like that.
I don't drink anything with it to sweeten it. Just straight green tea with boiling water.

there is nothing thats so bad in green tea. but having too much of anything in a day is bad. Sure, go ahead drink green tea everyday but don't drink like 4-5 cups. Drinking at a max. of 3 is healthy enough.
However, drink as much water as you like. round 7-8 glasses of water a day is perfect:)

No it is not really good for you.

i have never heard this about fluoride content...but tea is actually really good for you (natural antioxidant). i always try to drink at least one cup a day.
so as long as you are drinking good old plain tea...you should be fine :)

*and i found a site saying that the fluoride amount would not harm you

Well, green tea is actually really healthy. But just like other fluids and foods, too much of anything can be bad.

Well if it is caffinated tea (which most teas are naturally caffinated) then yes, you should really cut down.
And about that High floride content thing, i have heard that too, actually from my docter. My friend started drinking a lot of green tea, and so i did too. But then my docter told me to limit it to like one cup every 2 days, and it would be a lot better for me.

Hope that helps!! :)

No it is realy good for you! Juts make sure on what you put in it! if you put sugar or milk, too much is bad But the good old plain tea is thes best for you!=)
