I've noticed this a lot lately ............?!

Question: When women are about to cry in the movies or real life, they flap their hands in front of their eyes. Does this actually work? If so, does it work if you're touching cloth?

lol, once you've got a wagging tail no amount of hand waving will draw it back in...

waiter to gay friend... "would you like me to push up a stool for you...?"

;D

No it doesn't lol but we like to think it does haha, no really it does nothing.

no it doesnt i dont even no why we do it to be honest

That is so annoying isn't it? I don't know why they do that. It does nothing whatsoever. Some weird response mechanism.

I've done it in a futile attempt to keep my face from turning red. We woman are just silly little creatures like that :)

well we touch our hands to our eyes because it helps us hide that we are crying and it works yes.and im pretty sure it works while touching cloth too.

i think it distracts us, hard to explain, they don't come as fast when we do it lol

I am guilty of doing this myself.. i guess i do it most when i am crying to get me to stop crying.... i feel that the redness of my face will go away quicker if i fan it, and also to get my wet face to dry... this is an attempt to not look like i was crying.
