Which doctor's advice has more credibility...?!

Question: It is said that people in Asia for some reason are more prevalent in getting liver diseases (hepatitis, fatty liver, etc...) than compared to the US hence the doctors there most likely would spend a lot more time and research on the liver. Say you get differing viewpoints and advice from a top doctor overseas vs a regular one here in the US on the liver after having presented both the bloodwork to them. Both are in the specialized field. Which one should you trust?

ok , i dont know , i believe it is the patients responsiblity to get the treatment they want and if they did not like the first US doctor's interpertation of the lab work then I would get a second opinion. but remember that all research worldwide is read and printed in journals and you have different cultures looking at health and healthcare . i would trust the one I am most comfortable with

i know of a guy who had a bad thyroid. a scientist, not some new age cook. the US doctors wanted to give him meds to KILL the thyroid and put him on drugs for the rest of his life that would mimic the thyroid. the chineese gave him some tea that didn't cure this thyroid but made it smaller and manageable, and he thinks they saved his life.
as to your question, i have no answer -- i think US care is pretty damned good in most cases despite what the media is lying to us about these days (frace is better? yeah right!). but i thought you may want to know about the guy and the thyroid. I do think US doctors choose the more expensive option sometimes and the one that makes the patient more dependant on drugs, but chineeze teas probably have fake drugs in them instead of the real thing that would probably work, so it's a trade off.
