What is the difference between these 2 doctors?!
Question: Family Medical Doctor and Internal Medicine Doctor? Don't they both figure out what is wrong with you? How is one better than the other and when do you know whether you should see an Internal Medicine Doctor as opposed to your Family Physician?

A family Dr is a general practitioner. Has experience in a little bit of everything. From babies to Geriatrics. A internal medicine Dr is a specialist that focuses on finding out the why something is wrong. These doctors specialize in diseases of the internal organs and non surgical procedures.
They are very similar.
In theory, a Family Practice doc wants to deliver babies, see kids as they grow, see adults, and see old people ... a family practice doc wants in theory to be the classic "old time" doctor.
In theory, an Internal Medicine doc (an 'Internist') wants to see only adults. No babies, no kids. Many Internists have a particular strength (some have additional training in Cardiology or Endocrinology)....
So which one to see? It depends who you are, where you are, if there's anything wrong with you medically...
The best advice I can give is ask as many people as you can in your area who their doc is and whether they like him/her
There is no difference i had both and they did the same thing
Yes, there the same but the Family Medical Doctor is always present for the family. If my brother had fever we couldn't call the Medicine Doctor cause he only stays in hospitals but we could call the Medicine Family Doctor who can come at all times, day or night.
