How can I fall asleep faster at night?!

Question: Every night I got to bed at 10:00. Then I sleep like in 45 minutes or sometimes an hour. Rarely, I sleep 2 or 3 hours later. I can I fall asleep faster to feel fresh in the morning?

Here are some things that helped me:

1. Having some milk or chamomile tea before bed.
2. Reading a book for a half hour before bed as a routine.
3. Not drinking anything with caffeine after noon.
4. Exercising earlier in the day, not too close to bedtime.
5. Taking a warm shower or bath before bed (the heat is soothing).
6. Making sure that I let myself unwind and not stress at least an hour before bed.

Good luck & sweet dreams! :-)

there is this natural medicine called melitonin and it shows no sign of dependancy either. i use it sometimes and it puts me right to sleep.

Exercise.

For a start, avoid any food or drink that contains stimulants after dinner, or even after mid-afternnon for particularly sensitive individuals. Such foods include tea, coffee, coca-cola or pepsi.
Drinking milk ,or taking a calcium/magnesium supplement an hour before bedtime, may also help.
Try and establish a pre-bedtime routine to allow your body to relax and wind down - perhaps read a book or magazine. Also provide a conducive environment - lowlights, cool temperature (studies have shown thew optimal temperature for good sleep is about 18 C) and quiet.
Hope this helps

What works for me is listening to talk radio. Sometimes I can't get myself to fall asleep so I put on talk radio. Music isn't best to fall asleep with because it just hypes a person up. Talk radio calms me down and relaxes me. My uncle got me to listen to talk radio at night. I actually fall asleep faster now. I can fall asleep within 10 minutes if I just listen to talk radio. I put my radio on low and I notice myself starting to drift off. Talk radio works wonders for me. Sometimes I need to get to sleep right away so I listen to talk radio. Try it!! It truly works!!!
