Hyperventilation is what you are doing. And it causes that feeling in everybody. You are blowing off too much carbon dioxide and upsetting your acid base balance. Kids sometimes do that for fun because they get that whoozy feeling before they pass out. Stop it! Breathe normally. I know that can be difficult for an anxious asthmatic but remember, anxiety makes asthma worse and you are intentionally making it worse by messing with your breathing pattern. If you must hyperventilate-do it into a paper bag.

i think it sounds like dehydration

Sounds like you are hyperventilating.

your Bronchitis is inflammation of the Bronchia, this will lead to difficulty breathing, if you also have athsma it will be further complicated.
the "rapid, deep breathing" you mentioned will cause "hyperventilation" disrupting the oxygen/CO2 balance in your body, your doctor will likely give you an inhaled bronchodialator to relieve the inflamation temporarily, take it easy and let yourself heal for a while, your breathing should improve soon.

Drink water, powerade or gatorade.

I'm no doctor but I think it is too much oxygen to the brain.

me too.....
