i took it for depression for 6 yrs and it worked great. it helped me deal with my depression. i don't think i could have made it with out it. all hail paxil!
I have had OCD since 89' and I tried several drugs including Luvox, Xanex, Zoloft, Prozac, and Miltown. The only drug that relieved my symtoms was Paxil or its generic relative. For OCD I recommend Paxil.
I was put on paxil 4 depression and i think it did help me, atleast got me out of my rut, but what i didnt like were some of the side effects...ie... sweating alot, and sexual issues. Due to these side effects and some changes in my life i decided to wean off of it, but when i did i ended up in the er, with weird symptoms, my body went numb...and other things. I later found out i just didnt give my body the proper weaning process that it needed. Throughout the ffew months that i was on paxil i gained 30 pounds...grrr... now im off of it, and cant seem to melt those pounds away....grrrrrrr
