Do boots strengthen your calves?!

Question: I've been wearing a pair of mid-calf boots for two days now, and my calves are really starting to ache. I was wondering if boots are known for strengthening calf muscles.

Its probably due to a different size heal compaired to what you normally wear. If they are much higher (or much lower) then you will be using different muscles when you walk and you may feel the strain.

The sitting posture with the botts may affect your calves. Be careful.. Usually the boots strenthen the caklves.

Your boots are artificially putting your gastrocnemius (calf) in a flexed position. The heel would take out any real effort and you are not actually walking around on tip toes.
The calf is very strong, it has to carry you around every day, so you would need a lot of extra force to make them stronger.
The point I would make, even though all women ignore it, is that any high heels are a menace to the foot. They cause untold damage to feet.
On the other hand, they do make a woman's butt and legs look fantastic!
