My parents (more my mom) just can't quit smoking...help?!
Question: My parents have both smoked since they were teenagers. This is more towards my mom. She just turned 45 last week and suffered 2 heart attacks over the summer in july & august. Her father died at 40 from one. Since then we have been in and out of the hospital about 6-7 for chest pain related stuff. She smoked more than one and a half packs a day but has cut back.
She VOWED to quit new years but she hasnt. What can I do I have tried everything. You think 2 heart attacks would scare her. She is going to kill herself. I also believe she is lying I think she has been smoking more than she tells me & my sister and the doctors she is. You think the doctors would say something. I just dont know where to go from here. I have been asking them to quit for about 10 years now. They have even been taking Chantix. I dont know what to do....

I don't know how old you are or if you have enough $ for it. If you do, why don't you get them the Nicotene Patch or Nicorette Gum? Help them that way. :)
There's this book out that lets the people smoke while they read it, then supposedly scares them so much about smoking, they wanna quit
