Yes it can and will. Weight gain is one of the most common side effects including headache, nausea, dry mouth, sweating, drowsiness or insomnia, change in appetite, constipation or diarrhea, dizziness.

Unfortunately most antidepressants will cause weight gain.

I heard that it does but I sincerely hope not since I just started taking it...Did you just start taking the medication? If so, I would love to know how your experience has been on it so far....Thanks : )

No one can give you a correct answer. It is totally up to your body. I have been on Paxil for years and the only weight I have gained is the occassional pound or two.
