My mom had a brain aneurysm 19 years ago?!

Question: she had me 4 years later but she said she was very luckey to live ...b/c she had one does this mean i am more likely to have one ..everytime i get a headache i freak out...

No. There is NO EVIDENCE that Brain Aneurysms are genetic. They're simply random structural "defects" in the walls of the Arteries supplying blood to the brain... So the NEXT time you get a Headache- lay down, take an aspirin, & RELAX.... -You're just like the rest of us... :)

The ones that occur in young people are generally not genetic.
Beethe deeply - you have no need to worry.

Edit: there are some disorders with a genetic basis that can cause aneurysm. If she had one, I assume you would know of this by now.
