Mild to moderate dehydration can be treated by yourself by simply drinking more fluids. Watermelon is an excellent source of fluids in foods. Sports drinks can be helpful.
You don't need to add salt tablets to your water, this can lead to a different type of dehydration (hypernatremic) where not only is the body lacking fluids, but carries an excess of sodium.
Severe dehydration can be a serious matter. Very little of no urination is a sign of severe dehydration. Any urine that is made will be dark yellow or amber in color. Dizziness is also a sign. You should seek medical attention if you think you are severely dehydrated.

Water with a bit of salt. Power Rade or Gatorade. If not go to the hospital.
Lots of Gatorade, it works wonders!
