How long will it take to be totally cured from pneumonia?!

Question: I've been diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia 2 days ago.and I already have severe asthma which is too much for me to bear.
if I really stuck to therapy,how long will it take me to be totally cured from pneumonia?
I'll grateful if u can give any tips to help me get rid of this as quick as possible specially that I'll have to travel within 2 weeks.

Bacterial pneumonia clears up the fastest if it is not resistant to bacteria. With this type, it takes antibiotics about 10 days to kill all the bacteria, and maybe 2-3 more weeks to regain your energy and full lung function. With many people, there seems to be occasional days where it flattens you with exhaustion long after it seems like you have recovered. There's nothing you can do to get rid of the infection faster, but after the infection is over, deep exhaling to clear the lungs throughout the day should get you up to 100% a lot faster. If possible, you might think about planning your trip with some flexibility in the dates and allow a few days for down time to be on the safe side.
