The only thing that has been known to get rid of hiccups and has worked everytime for me is stretching out your diaphragm. You basically lay down flat on your back and push down on on your diaphragm and hold your breath and stretch it out and down with your hands like you are pushing your tummy towards your feet. Hold your breath and then let it out slowly as you push. May take few times, but should get rid of them. What is happening is your diaphragm is spasming. You get rid of that by stretching it out and stopping that. Good luck. Hiccups stink.

Sip several times on white vinegar.

if it hasn't stopped in 24 hours you may have ruptured something. see a doctor for treatment before this persists.

Are you stressed out or have you drastically changed the time you eat your meals?

if it has been going on that long, see a dr.

take a sip of water and hold it in you mouth and then put your fingers in your ears to stop air from getting into your ears and then swallow the water

what i do when i get hiccups is just get a mouthful of water take a big gulp fast and try to burp and it goes away

have you tried drinking water up-side down??
ALWAYS works for me...
and my dad has this thing he makes for us... he calls it hiccup medicine;)

Don't focus on it. Calm yourself down and try doing something you find really intreresting.

You should get yourself checked out, hiccups can be a symptom of another problem.

One that always works and doesn't require you to be a contortionist while drink liquids.

Find a tall back chair that is straight up like a dining room chair. Sit up as straight as you can with your back straight against the chair back (like your mom used to tell you to do). Now make a real hiccup happen. Ignore the hiccups you have and try to make one happen for real between them. They will go away if done correctly. I've never seen it fail.

Good luck.

This sounds weird, but it works every time for me... bend over at the waist to where your head is upside down. Take a glass of water (holding it right-side up of course) and drink from the opposite side of the cup you would drink on if you were right side up (your chin will be in the cup). Take several sips of water and wait a few seconds. Slowly return to the up-right position and your hiccups should be gone.

stop thinkingabout it
