Does animal meat contain cholesterol? Read more, not an argument for anyone.?!

Question: I was having a discussion today about meat and a man was very adament that animals meat does not contain cholestrol. He saids it is something the human body manufactures(?) from meat products including eggs. Basically it is not naturally occuring in meat?? Never heard or thought about it that way. Any input from anyone?

Yes, many foods contain cholesterol and the body manufactures it, as well. Animal fats typically increase the levels of "bad" cholesterol in the body.

The body DOES manufacture cholesterol, it is what lubricates your joints. ALL mammals manufacture cholesterol. Therefore, when you eat an animal, you are ADDING to the cholesterol in your body. Genetically, some people are genetically predisposed to store more cholesterol than they need, and that is when it starts to damage the circulatory system.
