Does the voice change as we grow up? even when we're over 20!?!

Question: I'm 24 now.. when i was a teenager, my sister told me that i have a very bad voice for singing... plus that it's low... Ten years later = now.. she says i sing well :O! i was like: say that again! I never took any singing lessons.. and for what the truth is worth,... i'm really not that good...

So although it's a silly when i think about it.... does the voice change or becomes stronger with age?

yes definately...it is a combination of growth and practice. Just like any muscle...the more you use it the better you can. It is actually pretty rare for someone to be "born" with the perfect singing voice...it takes years of hrd work to reach a point where your voice sounds as good as I have heard..( I especially love big black women singing at church...I don't know why they have the best voices..but man is it a beautiful sound)...generally a kids voice is not the perfect singing voice, but with time the voice will mature, and all the practice really does is give you more range and more control over what sound comes out.

THE VOICE CHANGES THROUGHOUT LIFE- But the maximum change is at PUBERTY.
