What's wrong with my tonsils?!
Question: About three weeks ago, my doctor said I had strep and sent me home with 10 days of antibiotics. All of the white spots are gone, and it doesn't even really hurt most of the time, but it just feels so swollen, like I need to stick a straw down my throat just to breathe. I thought the swelling would go down after I finished the prescription, but it never did. I suppose I should go back to my doctor, but like I said, it doesn't even really hurt. It's just super swollen. Do you know what it could be? Will the swelling go down on its own? It's been three weeks!

Step should definitely be cured after the 10 days of antibiotics. Go back to your doctor. You do not want a relapse. If you didn't completely get rid of it, strep can lead to other health problems if left untreated. My husband waited to go to the doctor with strep and he ended up with psoriasis.
i would go back to the doctor you could have some thing else. like tonsillitis
