Can Mold cause dizzyness?!

Question: in someone who has an auto-immue illness?

We just found a huge patch of mold in a kitchen cabinet and beginning to wonder if that could be causing my problems with dizziness and headaches?

We are going to get it fixed but beginning to wonder if this was the whole problem all along.

To answer your question, yes, some species of mold can cause dizziness and headaches, especially in those individuals who are immunocompromised.

All molds create the potential for adverse health effects, depending on the individual. For example, some people are hypersensitive to mold. Some experience no adverse symptoms at all.

Some species of mold have the potential to create mycotoxins and release them into the indoor air environment, such as stachybotrys atra sp., the "toxic" black mold.

It is possible that either you are suffering from mold sensitivity, or you may have a toxic species of mold growing within your cabinet. The only way to determine the species of mold is to have a professional collect a sample and send it to a laboratory for analysis.

If you have less than 10 sq. ft. of mold growth, and no one within the residency is experiencing any adverse health affects, then usually, the mold can be "self-removed."

However, in your case you are suffering from dizziness and headaches. Therefore, I would recommend you leave the project to a professional. The reason is because when molded materials are not properly handled, the spores can become airborne, affecting your indoor air environment and possibly settling elsewhere within your home.

I hope this is helpful to you. Good luck.

yes and death.It is fatal.

Depends if the mold is toxic or not if, it's toxic than yes it could be having a affect on you but mainly other people living or working in the same place will also start having health issues also.

Make sure you have someone else remove the mold and make sure they do it right and that they wear a mask, goggles and gloves..
