Why Do...?!

Question: My pupils seem more dilated than the average person. Even when there is adequate lighting my pupils are fairly large. I also have difficulties when I am driving at night, or when I have to see in the dark

They are dilated to allow in more light. It is possible that your rod and cone counts are low and therefore you can't see well without adequate lighting. THis explains your inability to see at night too.
