Does my daughter have Norovirus or a normal stomach bug?!

Question: How do you know the difference? She threw up big time this morning after complaining of headache and stomach cramp-the vomit had a weird smell-almost chemical-sorry but I have to explain! She has a temperature of 100 so not too high but she can't sit up or she gets really dizzy and her head pounds.
She has been sick again and there was no warning that it was coming it just came flying out!She is 8 years old.Any one had this so I know what is wrong with her?
Please don't tell me to take her to the docs-they won't see her unless she had been sick for 3 or 4 days-so many people have the bug and they can't give you anything for it anyway.I have just been giving her plenty of fluids.Thanks....

It would be most likely that she has the Norovirus, as well as keeping up the fluids ask your chemist for Dyrolite which replaces vital salts to the body & glucose powder To replace esssential simple sugars they can be simply mixed with water
or dilute fruit drinks ,hope all is well soon

If your daughter is dizzy upon standing (MAJOR symptom of dehydration) and your doc won't see her, you need a new doc. Only a doc can culture and diagnose Norovirus. I'd consider a trip to the ER if she vomits again.
You are doing what you need to - push fluids. I'd also include broth (high sodium content) to help her rehydrate, but she may need an IV with some fluids and if you had a doc worth anything, he/she would see your child to figure that out. If she will eat them, Pedialyte makes popsicles that would be good for her and might soothe her raw throat. Once she can keep something down, get a banana or two in her for a couple of days.
I hope she feels better soon.
Good luck and best wishes.
