Bad breath problem his whole life... what can we do about it?!

Question: I love my boyfriend to death. But I cannot stand his breath. I am always buying him gum, mouthwash, tictacs, etc etc. He said he's always had a problem with bad breath since he can remember. I remember hearing it comes from your stomach and what you eat. But we eat basically the same stuff and I have never had an issue. Is there anything we can do to fix his bad breath problem?

My sister had the same problem. I think they still make a product call Breathasure and that worked for her. It's a capsule that you swallow and it works from the stomach. He should have mint flavored burps afterwards. :) Also, he needs to make sure he is drinking plenty of water and eating leafy green vegetables, because those help as well.

Listerine I guess.

tell him to brush his teeth everyday

Have him brush his tongue when he brushes his teeth. Brush them after every meal and use listerene. If he still has issues, he could see a doctor/dentist.

There are some diseases that cause bad breath such as halitosis, which can worsen because the foods you eat. Another though may be that he has Gingivitis. You may ask him to schedule a doctor appointment, and see what his doctor has to say.

I would have him see a dentist he may have a small under line problem with his gums and it would be simple to resolve

Try having him brush his teeth and GUMS 3 times a day! many mouth problems stem from sick gums.

Try to google "tonsil stones." It could explain a lot. Basically, they are a collection of food, bacteria that land in your tonsils and get disgusting. They form a blob that smells like poo back in your tonsil area. Some people can push them out with their finger or a q-tip. I discovered one one day and now I check for them daily. After it came out, I rinsed with salt water and my mouth and throat felt and smelled much better. Mine was in connection with a cold, but they can form at any time.

A visit to your dentist may be helpful in treating halitosis (bad breath). Decaying teeth are notorious for causing noxious mouth odors. Ask him to see his dentist at least once every six months. Have cavities filled promptly and follow the dentist
