i don.t think you are dying but i think you definately need a second opinion asap

Probably aids.

If I was you I'd go to a doctor ASAP!

1- If you feel that it get's worse when you think about it, don't think about it anymore.
2- Go to another neurologist, and keep pressuring your doctors until they find out what you have.
3- If you aren't well then you aren't well and nobody will know that better than yourself.
4- Print the answers that you get from yahoo, and take this list to your doctors so that they can know you are SERIOUS, and trying to get better.
5- If you feel that you are seriously dying, go the the ER, your nearest hospital, or emergency clinic.

I hope you feel better. You are too young and special to be feeling this way.

are you getting enough rest, sleep?
not on any drugs or too much caffeine!
sounds like nerves, relax, see a dr, your not dying, xxxxxxxxxxxxx

You're not dying. But you should start with a regular doctor, and see what he/she thinks will help you. And he would know what kind of specialist would help you, if in fact you even need to see a specialist. Make an appt. tomorrow. :)

Benign fasciculation syndrome (BFS) is a neurological disorder characterized by fasciculation (twitching) of various voluntary muscles in the body. The twitching can occur in any voluntary muscle group but is most common in the eyelids, arms, legs, and feet. Even the tongue may be affected. The twitching may be occasional or may go on nearly continuously. Any intentional movement of the involved muscle causes the fasciculations to cease immediately, but they may return once the muscle is at rest again. In addition to twitching, patients with BFS often experience pain, paraesthesia, generalized fatigue, exercise intolerance, globus sensation and/or muscle cramping.

Another common feature of the disorder, when seen by physicians, is an increase in the patient's level of anxiety, especially health-related anxiety. It's not uncommon for the patient to fixate on ALS, MS, Parkinson's, vCJD, or some other serious neurological disorder, refusing to believe the BFS diagnosis.[citation needed] Since it is anxiety, not fasciculations, that brings patients to physicians,[citation needed] the association of BFS and anxiety is probably an example of ascertainment bias. Though twitching is sometimes a symptom of serious diseases such as spinal injury, muscular dystrophy, Lyme's Disease, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), it is much more often due to more benign causes (BFS, over-exertion, etc), and virtually everyone will experience some episodes of benign fasciculation during their lifetime.

The precise cause of BFS is unknown, and, in fact, it's not known if it's a disease of the motor nerves, the muscles, or the neuromuscular junction. Mitsikostas et al found that fasciculations "were slightly correlated to the body weight and height and to the anxiety level" in normal subjects. [1] Another factor that seems to be common in many cases is a history of regular strenuous exercise.[citation needed] Attention deficit disorder or a related disorder may be a contributing factor,[citation needed] and people with essential tremor appear to have a greater than normal likelihood of developing BFS.[citation needed] In addition, there are likely other genetic and environmental factors that make the patient more susceptible to BFS.[citation needed]

There are some intriguing similarities between BFS and chronic organophosphate poisoning,[citation needed] but these similarities have not been explored. It may be that chronically elevated levels of stress hormones in the body cause damage similar to the damage caused by organophosphates.

Hun, you are not dying, maybe you not getting enough rest or you do many work? relax and relax........but, if nothing help i recommend to see the doctor soon...

it could be epilepsi too. people who jerk have epilepsi. just go to a neurologist. if ur ok there then its probably psychological and u should see a pyschologist.

Your going to die if you dont see a dr

Worrying can't be helping ya, so see your doctor. You could possibly think yourself to death? Hurry.

Do NOT listen to the insensitive people saying things like 'it's AIDS' or 'You're going to die if you don't see a doctor'. I can't believe people would be so heartless. I'd like to see them have a serious concern and be treated that way. That is completely unacceptable, so please don't take it to heart.

The other people who answered have better opinions. Try seeing another doctor if that helps, but also remember that the doctor you did see is experienced so the fact that they didn't think it was abnormal is something that should help calm your nerves. It could be something, it may be nothing.

It kind of sounds like you might be having panic attacks and anxiety, especially if the symptoms are getting worse when you're thinking about it. It's pretty amazing what your own mind can make you feel just by thinking about it.

I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but another cause of muscle spasm can be dehydration. You're chemical balances could also be off, so you might have your lab work drawn.

I hope this helps and that you start feeling better soon.
