Dehydration?!

Question: Please help...
Ive been ill since October, with constant vomiting, nausea, passing out etc., various tests are going at my GP.
However since Friday, I have been unable to keep anything down, whereas I have with earlier episodes of vomiting.
All I have had to drink since Friday night is a small bottle of Coke...I simply canot face eating anything or drinking...
My question is, how long does it take to become dehydrated? Im feeling pretty rotten now...

Thanks in advance!xx

Hey,

If you've been vomiting a lot recently then you will probably be quite dehydrted. coke isn't the best thing to be drinking though, try sipping an isotonic sports drink like powerade to help replace lost fluid and salts. Alternatively you can buy oral rehydration salts at your local pharmacy to add to water which you can then sip slowly. I'm not sure what country you're in, but in the UK theyre come as Dioralyte. If you still can't keep anything down despite only slowly sipping it, then you should contact your doctor as soon as possible as you may need to be put on a drip. Hope this helps you feel better :-)
