Why do I get the chills when I think of cotton balls?!

Question: Is this a phobia or am I hyper sensitive.

If you were to pull out a cotton ball and rub it between your fingers or tear it...I start to cringe, my teeth grind, and every hair on my body stands up.

I think it is just a sensitivity. I have the same problems. I also can't stand the wooden popsicle sticks, lollipop sticks, or toothpicks. All the hairs on my arms are standing up now just thinking about it.

I'm really not sure but the same exact thing happens to my mom

that is hilarious my husband has the exact same problem although i don't understand it, he even has to get his q-tips wet before he uses them. its like fingernails on a chalkboard for him. i get the ebie-geebies from reeses peanut butter cups.

I get the chills when I think about biting a bath towel. Its all squeeky and has an eerie feeling on my teeth.

That is called a phobia and I have relatives that has phobias of things you would not imagine. My cousin has a phobia of hamburger meat.

That happens to me too. Like a "nails down a blackboard" kind of reaction. I know a few people who react like that to cotton balls. I don't think you're phobic or anything, it's a pretty common peeve. Gross! I wish I hadn't though of it now, my teeth feel all funny!
