Can i do it again?!
Question: I have some sleeping pills with codine. in it. and i crush them up and eat them.
i've taken one like this, yesterday and nothing really physically bad happened. Can i do it again. ?

1)the acute effect will be sedation with no side effect if the dosage is less than toxic dose
2) the cronic effect will be dependency & addiction to both codein & sedative drugs
I would suggest taking the pill as directed on the bottle, which usually means swallowing it whole, and not crushing it.
Ive never heard of a sleeping pill that contained codeine?
but if so, go for it, or just cut it into 4 sections so it dissolves faster
I agree with deanna68. it would be advisable not to repeat the incident despite the lack of catastrophic side effects. the directions on the bottle wouldn't be like that if there were another way to take it in...
Please read the instructions on the packaging: some medicines are specially coated to make them dissolve after they leave the stomach- because they have ingredients that could irritate the stomach lining. Sometimes the chemicals in medication take a while to build up in your system, therefore having no ill effects on taking a medication a certain way once, may not be an indication for future use .
Also please try all the natural sleep inducing methods- take plenty of exercise, try hot baths, lavender oil and or hot milky drinks- no sleeping pills are intended for long term use.
