Question: I have had this dreadful virus thats been doing its round. I noticed when I was vomitting (sorry guys), a bright yellow runny liquid came up, I was sure I had nothing to eat/drink of this colour the day/night before, any ideas what this is.

if you have drank any alcohol in the past 3 days then that could be why it is yellow, but also because it is stomach juices!

no worries i would suggest that you eat something and see if its still the same color.
if it is then go t the doctors!!!
annorexic, and bolemic ppl often have the same thing!

That yellow liquid is called "bile." It is an acidic liquid packed with enzymes made by the liver and stored by the gallbladder that assists in digestion.
It is very common for persons that are sick to vomit bile if they have been vomiting quite a bit and are unable to intake liquid or food.
The concerning point is that you are this sick, if you have continuous vomiting or even diarrhea, and are unable to intake fluids, you really need to go to the ER for fluid replacement. Your body will dehydrate very very quickly, before you even know it, and you will in big trouble. Not to mention, they can give you medicine to stop the vomiting!
it is bile from your stomach. pretty much the acid that digests your food.
bile, just means that is pretty much all that was left in your stomach. Normal.
