I ate ham left out over night and now I think I'm getting food poisoning, wh!

Question: I left ham out over night in a sealed zip lock back. After a little research it seemed like it should be ok and it smelled ok. But now I'm feeling a bit nauseous and like I'm about to have diarrhea. Anything I can do to curb the sickness before it's too late?

man I hate it when this happens! A similar thing happened to me.
Ok so #1 drink water NOW. If you have food poisoning you got to keep hydrated cause you will get pretty sick and be dehydrated. Water and gatoraid will be your friends.
Curb sickness....um no you do not want to. I know you are like huh? WTF but seriously if you have food poisoning it is due to bad bad bacteria in your tummy. Your body will try to get rid of it, fast and furious (up and or down to get out) this is GOOD. GOOD body. You need to get sick and get the bacteria out. Yea it is no fun but remember this while you are hugging the throne- your body is protecting you, it is saving your life literally. Cause if the bacteria do not come out they will harm you.
If you get sick just tough it out, drink only a little soda or water or gatoraid. Don't eat for a bit until you feel better. This usually passes quickly and in a few hrs you will be ok. It will be fast and furious but keep positive and think what a great body you have that it is getting rid of bacteria that are out to harm you.
So in short. Drink water (if you get weak later on gatoraid) now and when you are sick to keep hydrated. Be prepared for fast and furious up and out and down and out, but stay positive your body is protecting you, it is natural. After a few hrs it will all pass and you will be ok. Your body is built to take care of you eating bad food once in a while.

go to the doctor
