What should I eat when I have nausea?!


Question: My stomach is hurting and I don't feel like eating but I should but I don't know what to eat.

Yesterday If I drank something I vomited it up.No vomiting today just nausea.

The BRAT diet is probably the most commonly recommended diet when you are suffering from nausea. It stands for Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. They are bland but healthy foods that your digestive system tend to tolerate better.
The most important thing is to stay hydrated. Drink small sips of liquids over the whole day. Eat ice chips or suck on popsicles - whatever you can do that you can keep down.

saltine crackers and clear liquids like sprite or ginger ale

Try crackers. And stay away from oj, cokes. Try Sprite or 7up.

Dry stuff like bread or crackers or ricecakes. I was addicted to apple cinnamon rice cakes once...

Ginger is one of the best things, have a friend pick some up at a grocery store and boil it in some hot water.

That is why people often drink Ginger-ale and it works fantastically.

Dry toast (No butter) and Ginger (Eat Ginger-root, like when you get Sushi) or drink Ginger-ale. Ginger settles an upset stomach.

Take some Imodium

then eat some crackers with peanut butter or cheese.. not a lot.. just a couple to stop the hunger pains..

I find 7up or sprite is good or juices.. cranberry or grape...
