Disgusting question about diarrhoea?!

Question: sorry about this

i was just wondering if you have D and V and you feel completely empty

then you decide to try and eat something

then you are desperate to go to the loo and you dont be sick

would the stuff you deposited down the loo be what you ate like 10 minutes ago or is it something else

what is happening to the body to digest it that quick if that is what happened

so if i took medication would that have gone as well

sorry to be gross

thanks for your answers

It normally takes 12 hours for the body to digest your food however when you have D&V the virus takes hold and the body is unable to tollarate any thing so it passes straight through or you are sick. Best thing is to starve the virus, but sip plenty water. When you do start to eat have plain food dry toast as fats can staart it off again. Medicine won't pass through as that goes into the blood stream.I do know their is a bad D&V bug around at present so if it carries on call the G.P. Hope you feel better

It's not what you ate just before, it's the stuff that's still inside you from earlier meals etc. Basically it's just all coming out...not as quickly as it seems, let's be realistic after all - food can't travel through you that fast!

lol u put xx vici on the end it helped make it feel nnot sick lol

I'm not sure, but drink lots of water because you will get dehydrated quickly with diorehea (sp) and eat light foods not heavy stuff. Dialyte (i'm not sure if thats the correct spelling) will replace all the vitamins and minerals you are losing at the moment.

It is what you just ate.

foot usually takes about 12 hours to come out of your system
the food you ate ten minutes ago will still be your system for a time, unless you are sick after eating the food.
diarrhoeh is a bug, just drink boiled water for 24 hours, and your system has no food for the bug and you will be ok.

it might not saty down or in if you v or d with in 10 mins.
it takes hours for food to digest
try drinking clear liquids like chicken soup, broth, boiled eggs, toast, and drink only clear liquids ,sprite,7up ,chicken broth.they say yogart plain or with bananas helps stop the D
if your not better in afew days you should see a doctor

hey dont worry ur not being gross! i think the food u just ate encouraged the rest to come out if that makes sense
hope ur better soon x

when it is functioning well it takes from 4-6 hours upwards for stuff to pass through your digestive system.
Even with the novovirus bug, it will take longer than 10 minutes!

The craps are when the body fluid is breaking through the wall of the intestine through some bacteria or irritant you may have consumed

It isn't what you just ate. The minimum time to pass food is around 3.5 hours even in cases of extreme illness.

Diarrhoea and vomiting are the bodies way of exspelling any poisons or microbes that you might have eaten or drank, it can last upto 48 hours.
Firstly, diarrhoea empties the entestines of all the waste, faecese, that we are carrying, by drawing water to into them and give them a good flush,
this clears the intestine in order that whatever it is that is infecting our system is able to be rapidly evacuated, vomiting empties the stomache of its contents and ususally the cause of the problem, don't force yourself to eat, unless you get hungry and then eat something simple.
Drink lots of liquids and stay close to a loo, if you start to develope other symptons like severe headache, sweating, severe nausea, stomache pains, or the condition lasts for more than three days, then consult a doctor or go straight to a hospital.
If it is just mild and you are not a laxative junkie, and you need a quick cure then mix a teaspoon of flour in a small glass of milk or water and drink it down, but my advice would be to just let nature take its course.
