Can I wear contacts 17 hours a day?!
Question: I wear contacts about 17 hours a day. I have frequency 55 aspheric lenses. I am going to they eye doctor this week and I was wondering if he would be able to tell how much I wear them. I wear them everyday from the time I get up until the time I go to bed. I don't have glasses so I don't wear those. Is it bad that I wear them this much? Do you think he will be able to tell?

Honestly I do it all the time. My trick is to at least one day or night of the week this allows them to at least have a few hours to rest. And regarding the doctor being able to tell... My doctor has never noticed nor said anything.
Only wear them 17 hours a day if you want your retinas to burn.

it depends on the type of contacts you have. My fiance has the ones that you can wear for weeks on end and even sleep with them in. So it just depends on what you have!
it really depends on the type of contact. they are some they are meant to wear 24hrs a day for 2 weeks. some you gotaa take out at night, some you can leave in until they tear. talk to your doctor about the type you have and see what they say.
