Does any one know what a hydro scan is?!


Question: I believe that what it is call. I have to go into the hospital and have a hydro scan done. No one knows what it is really. I was told someone has to come with me and i will not be able to drive home myself. This test will take up to three hours if not longer. I have no clue and I looked up Hydro scan online and all i get is things about water. Has anyone hard of hydroscan or even had one done

In doing some research myself, I found something called a HIDA scan, which might be what you will be having done. HIDA stands for hepatobiliary iminodiacetic acid and the purpose of the test is to evaluate the function of the gall bladder and bile ducts.
