You must know that there are no medications for cold. The children will tolerate it and will have to develop resistance by themselves. Since it is also seasonal, prevention is better than cure. Give them good food vitamins etc., Once it has come, see that their breathing is easy; for which you can apply some "Vicks" on the areas of sinuses, nose, chest and forehead and give slight fomentation. Try to suck out the mucus as frequently as possible{ with care} Vit c and lemon help a lot.
Infant tylenol and ibuprufen are all that can (or should) be given. The other items have zero efficacy and are risky.
