Stye under the eyelid!!!?!

Question: i developed a bump underneath my eyelid on monday, went to the doctor on tuesday and she said it looked like i had a stye underneath my eyelid but it wasn't infected...

is it possible to have a stye that hasn't gotten infected yet? the doctor told me to put hot compresses on it a few times a day and she gave me antibiotic eyedrops to use for 5 days...today, is thursday and the bump has gotten smaller but my eye is itchy like CRAZY!!! i don't know why...and not just in the region of the stye...but the whole eye is itchy...is this normal?

i was asking ppl about the itchiness and they were like it's probably itchy because it's healing? well i've never had anything wrong with my eye before...anyone know if the itching is just part of the healing?

plus, how do i know if i have a chalazion or a stye?

the bump that i have isn't visible but it's in the corner of my eye under the eyelid...

i would really appreciate some answers :)

It sounds like you are allergic to the drops.
Stop them. They do nothing for a stye or a chalazion.
The main difference between the two is whether there are bacteria inside causing infection. A chalazion is a backed up oil gland with inflammation but not infection.
Hot compresses usually do the trick for a stye (hordeolum).

It's a stye. Don't freak out.

I had my first one last year and I'm 26, freaked me out, lasted for months. Went to the eye doctor, got drops and sav, even had to get it cut open but it kept coming back. If it doesn't go away get oral antibiotics that's the only thing that worked for me. Once I took the oral antibiotics it was gone within 2 weeks.

give rubbing something that has gold in it on your eye. When ever I feel like a stye is there, I grab my best gold jewlery and rub it gently along my eye, there is something in the gold that helps, Works everytime!!
