Why could this be?!

Question: Before I go to bed I'm really tired, yet when I do go to bed I can't sleep for hours

Answers: Before I go to bed I'm really tired, yet when I do go to bed I can't sleep for hours

I could help you with some sweat-therepy....<3

try to relax your mind and then you sleep

no idea.. but i have the exact same problem

I've had that before. i've heard people say you can be overtired - too tired to sleep!!

Make sure you're not distracted by tv, computer, etc...and clear your mind. If you're stressed you'll spend hours awake thinking about those stresses.

same here. My mind is too active. I worry about the present and future. Someone suggested meditation but its to hippy-ish for me.

I get the same thing!
Annoying eh?
I just figure it's because im so tired im consciously trying to make the effort to sleep, and this effort of course keeps me conscious?!

i take unisom gel caps but i get the store version its 5 bucks cheaper.. it will put you out in like 10 mins.. and its not habit forming

Go us, we have the same problem! I always drink herb tea before bed. Lots of people have different ways to get to sleep, I get focus on a repetitive sound eg rain, clock, and I let it sallow me up. If that doesn't work I listen to my ipod; if you don't have one maybe mp3 player of something!

Good luck, hope this helps.

im not sure but i have this, its awful init, sat downstairs and my eyes are shutting to the point of cant keep em open go to bed then bang...wide abloody wake...ur not alonexx

could be a bad case of insomnia or stress cause if life is just a pain in the neck for you which could be for everybody else or you've just had a stressful day at work then it later on affects your brain, so just try and clear your mind of all thought and hopefully you should drift of to sleep. You know stress could even lead to nightmares which would make matters worse.

If I get like that I usually put on some classical music or speech radio or even one of those learn a language tape to help me drift off, having worked on night shift for near on 10 years & starting day shift my body clock is still adjusting.

Too much thinking going on..

I have driven for miles today, literally took out a fireplace (concrete) been to Homebase and put 6 packs of floor tiles into a Homebase trolley, lifted them into my car, unlifted them at another address and fitted them

I get this when I am so overtired. On average, I probably sleep for about 3 hrs per night. If I am lucky!
