VERY strange question about death?!

Question: Let's say someone died due to a brain anuerism. During the autopsy, they discovered this person had a very serious condition that could have caused death, but didn't. Would they reveal that to the family? I know this is a VERY odd question, but I need to know.

If it didn't cause the death then I don't think the family would want to know "fun facts" about their dead relative. Unless you are trying to say they would have died anyways, but thats not much more comforting.

you say it could have caused the death but didnt. so if it didn't cause the death why would they reveal that to the family? i dont understand your question.

If you get a copy of the official autopsy report, all findings will be noted.

I think they would make a point to tell you if there was something genetic that could be passed along to other relatives (strokes, Alzheimer's etc) or if they had something that would have killed them anyway and they would have had a prolonged, painful death (brain cancer). In those cases I think they would let you know so might feel a little better that they passed quickly or for your own medical history.

If someone died because of a brain anuerism, then that's how they died and that's what the family will find out. Why would they want to know they could've died from so-and-so, when they just died from something else anyways? I don't know, I just wouldn't want to know that kind of stupid **** if someone died in my family.

i watch too much csi and instantly it sounded as if you were planning a murder
