Do you sometimes feel that you are falling out of bed when you actually don'!

Question: Does anyone know a name for this, or what exactly happens when you feel that way?

Its called vertigo. It actually has to do with your inner ear and equalibrium, the same thing that controls your balance.
If it gets worse I would see a doc.

I sometimes feel that, its something regarding the Central ear.

I was in this woman's bed one night and I did fall out...well, actually, she pushed me out...well, she kicked me out because I wasn't supposed to be there...actually, I didn't even know her but just thought that since I was in her apartment without her permission I should just give it the old college try...I do think her calling the police was a bit much. After all, I don't force myself on women...very often.

hahah yeaaaa, the moment i am beginning to fall asleep, i suddenly move, because i have a feeling like i am falling off of bed, but i aint. its funny lol. I guess it is your brain going into dream mode or sleeping mode and it is not working correctly and the senses are not all there.

hey I know how u feel. It happesn to me every night. I usually jerk (to prevent myself from falling) which is when I realise I felt like falling.
It's weird and bothers me at times. Oh and sometimes it happens more than twice a night.

Actually yes. Sometimes i dream that i'm falling, and when I hit the ground (in the dream) i wake up and kinda jump too, like i was expecting to hit the ground.

Another thing is when you are awake, but your body is still locked in sleep state, so you are aware of everything around you, but you can't move, or talk. In the olden days they said that witches and demons were trying to rape you when this happened, and some UFO nuts today think this is when aliens try and abduct you. But in reality, it's just a kind of brain malfunction. Aphasia i think it's called, but that's kinda similar cause sometimes you feel like you are falling, and can't stop it.

One time i'd had too much bourbon, and kept rolling out of my double bed. my ex gf and flatmates got tired of putting me back, so left me on the floor for the night.. and most of the following afternoon too
