Sure its great when you are in the bar with a Bar in your hand.
Its not so great when your in the Hosipital dying from it and you will die fro it sooner or later. These days it seems to be sooner.

Very enjoyable, wish I'd never started, glad I've stopped

Well for right now I currently am a smoker and now I realize that its a really disgusting habit but it is very difficult to quit...and I think it's disgusting because it makes your teeth get a yellowish tint (which is why I always carry a toothbrush and toothpaste around in my purse), it gives you really bad breath...and believe it or not its actually really unattractive to many people...

its a very bad habbit and i wish i never started

ugh!

Last cigarette I had was in my lip, tore apart a Lucky Strike an used it for chew it burned my lips an I got dizzy that was enough. Never smoked it..

My dad used to smoke alot. I think it is unfair to the people around you, it just messes up your health, and second hand smoke can hurt somebody.

SMOKING is really bad. it could not only give bad breath, stained teeth and bad odor... worst cases are respiratory illnesses and emphysema.

make me relax but annoying, wasting money also..

It feels really good... But it's not good for your health, so I am limiting smoking to max 1 a week.

Smoking causes more problems than pleasure. If you are around a certain person, that person will probably end up either with second-hand smoke cancer, or other problems. You can't smoke around certain things or people at all. Smoking causes all kinds of health problems. My husband smokes and it really bothers my health condition. I have heart problems. I have been around cigarette smoke all my life and now I can't hardly take any smoke at all.

Smoking is a bad idea. It causes tons of health problems...lung disease, skin problems, etc. Unless you want to end up in the hospital, I don't suggest smoking at all. I've had relatives who smoked. Most of them are dead now from some sort of cancer or heart disease that stemmed from their smoking. I watched one of my great-uncle's die from emphysema. It's not a pretty sight. Toward the end he couldn't even walk across the room without becoming so out of breath to the point of almost passing out (and this was while he was on oxygen). All the people I went to high school with who smoked now look about 10 years older than the rest of us who didn't smoke. They've got wrinkles & have started going gray already (and I'm in my mid-30's). There is no benefit from smoking. None.

It's disgusting. There is something about it that is very unappealing. Maybe it's the smell or the way it makes your mouth taste.

I have smoked, but never got addicted. I guess I never found pleasure in it because it has none.

I smoked for many years and quit about 12 years ago. It was the best thing I ever did, quitting that is. Still experience shortness of breath and can tell I did my body no good to start smoking at 13.

I smoked for 4 years when I was teen. It was very enjoyable but it bothered me that I was addicted and couldn't stop. And the stale smell bothered me, too. Now that I am older, I am soooooo glad I quit. They put so many toxins in them today, and who needs more of those this world is already polluted with poisons in the food, water and air we breathe.

I was a college athlete, but started smoking my senior year at the end of my last season. I loved it when I was drinking because it would accent my inebriation (sp?). Anyway, I continued to smoke for nine years after school. I got to the point where it didn't give me any rush at all, I just needed a cigarette when I'd get stressed or else I would get a monster headache. I couldn't breath after big nights and would have trouble walking up flights of stairs without getting winded, and Im not big or out of shape. My dentist and doctor started asking me if I was smoking so the effects were obvious. I quit 18 weeks ago, it was really difficult, and I still crave them when I smell someone else with them. My girlfriend is real happy because I don't stink, my teeth are whiter, I feel better and it's been long enough that my headaches are gone. I'm glad I stopped. They're like a drug, there's no denying they make you feel good at first, but once your affinity for them becomes a dependency they are no good. I would recommend not ever starting to anyone thinking about it, but I'll never lecture anyone who does it. I feel much better bottom line, and just started training for a triathlon this spring. Just my two cents.

I've smoked off and on for the last 30 years. I pay more in taxes because of it... you're welcome... I also pay more for health insurance, because the theory is that because I smoke, I'm going to the doctor more. Once every 4 to 5 years does seem too much...That's money well spent... So that money is going to take care of our over medicated society... with all the drugs they are taking to feel normal... Again, you're welcome.

so, with that, if you want to smoke...smoke em up..if not leave those of us alone who choose to. If you are going to complain about it, it's falling on deaf ears here...

I'm a non smoker. I'm glad it has been banned in public places in England, but it just isn't being enforced enough; I witness people smoking on buses every few weeks and the bus drivers just do not care. I think the tax on cigarettes and tobacco should be increased, and cigarettes from abroad should not be aloud into the country. I understand that it is a luxury that some people enjoy, but it shouldn't be enjoyed at the expensive of other peoples health. I would also go as far to say that smoking should be banned everywhere, not just in public, if my parents didn't smoke, I might have a higher level of fitness today, and might even be able to pet a dog or cat without sneazing for hours after.

I am completely addicted. The BIGGEST regret of my life. Have tried many, many, many times to quit. The withdrawal is horrible. I started when every movie, TV show, magazine , etc., passed it off as being--So Cool. We've Come A Long Way, Baby. (a commercial quote for a cigarette geared towards woman). If you haven't started--DON'T.
