Dehydration, hypoglycemia and the effects of congeners (chemicals found in non-clear liquors) all contribute to hangovers. 99.9% of the time, if you make it through the night, there is no danger the night after drinking heavily. Just feels like you're gonna die. The best cure for a hangover is a soda with caffiene and a few over the counter pain pills (tylenol, advil, etc.)

Your body is crying for more booze.
