I have stiches in my tounge, what should i eat?!

Question: I'm hungry but I've got stitches in my tongue from a, hopefully benign, tumor in my tongue. its kinda hard to chew stuff but I'm terribly hungry, i know jell-o and pudding but thats getting old fast! I need something thats real food but doesn't suck (P.S. I don't feel like having soup!)

You can eat pretty much anything you want. Just rinse really well with warm water after eating. Some things like chips, nuts, granola, etc may tend to poke and irritate the area more than you like but they won't necessarily hurt you. The rinsing is the most important thing. Don't use salt water or peroxide or anything. Just warm water. The mouth is pretty amazing and can heal very quickly. In fact, many cuts on the tongue (like kids get when they fall and bite their tongues) aren't even stitched. They are able to heal just as well and just as quickly without it. Good Luck and I hope the report comes back that it is benign.

Milkshakes!!!

what about small things that you can swallow without chewing?

Mashed potato's, mashed sweet potato's with cinnamon and butter, cottage cheese, apple sauce, yogurt

a smoothie!!!!

eat whatever you want too
