Orajel or Abreva?!

Question: I bought orajel, but does anyone think i should go back and get abreva? Orajel VS. Abreva.. give your opinion.. this is for FAST SPREADING COLD SORES!!!

Abreva addresses the virus in the sore; Orajel just helps with the pain. I would use both. Also, the doc can prescribe a very safe med that helps.

Oragel just numbs the pain, Abreva does not work for me and makes it worse. I take prescription Valtrex at the first tingle and it stops them cold.

my daughter gets then VERY bad and I think iv'e tried everything. There is a prescription pill to treat and prevent outbreaks but as for OTC...Herpacin works the best for her
