No, I do not think it is at all accurate. Pathologists make good money, but nowhere close to what that states. For one thing, there are always budget cuts in hospitals and research labs, and the in house crowd always gets cut first. Pathologists do not usually have private practices like surgeons, endocrinologists and internists.
If you want a medical job where you can work mostly in isolation and without being so out there in the public and dealing with the public, then pathology is a great profession. But believe me, you will have to like the study of pathology itself to be happy.
I used to work at a Pathology group, But not beina a pathonolgist/ All I can say is that they reason many of the pathologist become on is that they have not bedside manners. If Money is all that you want, please remember you must enjoy what you do. That can go a long way in fulfilling your dreams.
