yes i had one for about 6 months once and i don't even smoke it was really annoying.

Yes it's one of those that catches you in the throat when I'm breathing in! had it for two weeks

yes everyone at work has it and now I have it. this year is the worst for lingering sicknesses

I do not But both my son and grandson seem to have this problem
In their case it is allergies ............. no fever so not a virus !

If you have been abroad or come in regular close contact with immigrants ( no offense its just a FACT)
Then get checked for TB

yes my dad still has his from just after christmas

Yes, I have been getting about one every year for about the past 6 years and they usually take about 6-8 weeks to get rid of. The docotor says that they are simply caused by an irritation in my throat and so this year he prescribed me a medicine with quite a strong suppressant as he was really worried as I was hyperventilating.

The TB statement is good, you can check w/your doc for countries with a high rate of TB.
There is a virus going around the uk which is a cough that sits in your chest for ages after. Some mucus clearing medicine will help. Again, ask the doc.
If you have gas central heating, get it checked for leaks.
Otherwise, the weather in the uk has been so changeable lately (much more than normal years) that your poor old body doesn't know what's happening.
Wrap your chest and neck up warm when you go outside, and if you have a humidifier use it in the house. If not, hot steamy showers help shift the mucus too.

yes a smokers cough,

I have, although I live in the U.S. The current theory is that it is "strep throat"; I've been on an Amoxicilin round for over a week.
