It depends on whether or not your doctor is having you fast before you have blood drawn. If you are fasting, schedule an appointment in the morning so you don't have to starve yourself all day.

Otherwise, if there is a time of day that is better for you to give blood and get the results your doctor needs, I'm sure they will tell you so.

I have a thyroid condition, and I usually have mine taken in the morning, just to get it out of the way.

For the tests you mentioned time of day is not an issue.

Certain blood tests are done fasting, and it is usually easier to do them fist thing in the morning. Things like cholesterol and blood sugar would be affected if you have eaten within 12 hrs of the test.

I personally prefer the morning.

Call your doctor's office and ask. You have to fast for a lot of blood tests, so then you would want to go in the morning before you've had anything to eat or drink.

i was told in the am..ur stomach is empty. Most blood work needs to be done when ur fasting,or havent eaten....

In order to get accurate results, it would be best to fast from about 8.00pm the previous day... so that you do not starve, it would be best to have your blood work done as early in the morning as possible. Then have something to eat for breaky.

As long as you fast, it does not matter what time of day you get your blood drawn.
