Can someone who has medical terminolgy knowledge decipher this for me?!

Question: I work in CT (I take the pictures, not read them!), but I just had an x-ray performed on myself and I'm trying to decipher it on my own. (My doctor hasn't called me with my results yet.) Anyway, I had x-rays of my sacrum and coccyx because I have terrible "tailbone" pain (especially when I go from sitting to standing), groin pain, etc.

Anyway, the results say:

Sclerosis and bone irregularity of each SI joint
Erosion of pubic symphysis

Can anyone help? I'm hoping to get responses from people who ACTUALLY know what they are talking about. I googled these and looked them up in a medical dictionary, but can't figure it out, exactly.

Thanks in advance!

Sclerosis is a thickening and hardening. This has caused irregularity in the Sacroiliac Joints. This can cause pain, because the joints are not smooth, and, therefore, there is friction where they butt up against each other. The pubic symphysis is on the medial aspect of the pubic bone, where the left and right halves come together. They are joined by connective tissue, and, apparently, there is erosion in this area.

i think that means something like your tail bone and pubic bone are brittle and eroding, and thats why they hurt

Carrie, your claim to work in CT is dubious for the following reasons:

the staff is educated about anatomy and physiology;
you can get answers from your associates as soon as the picture was taken.

Upset about being exposed?
You clearly stated that you take pictures, not read them. But if you worked in CT, you also work in the Radiology Department and that includes taking x-rays.

wait for your Doctor , or go ask whoever wrote that report .
