Is it dangerous to use my cell phone as my alarm clock?!

Question: Someone told me today that you should leave your cell phone 50 feet away from where you sleep because something about the radiation disturbs your sleep and is dangerous to your brain.
Is that true or just some wacky idea?

Haha, well I haven't heard that before. The radiation comes into effect when you are talking on it for hours at a time for years with it up next to your head. You will be OK using it as an alarm clock.

i hope not, i use my cell phone as my alarm :/

It's some wacky idea. I've been using my cell phone as an alarm clock for the past five years (it's more reliable than an electric one if the power goes out) and I have never had my sleep "disturbed"... at least not because of my cell phone.

That's some wacky idea. I've had my cell phone next to my bed, as an alarm clock, for five years. No problems.

I wouldn't sleep with it like on your pillow but near you is fine.

I have always heard warnings about holding the antennae of the cell phone too close to your head.....so what you heard could be true. I also heard you should never point your cell towards your computer.....it will eventually damage the computer.

I wouldn't worry about it - you are more likely to have problems if you talk on it too much than having it in your room. 50 feet is a looonng way away. I don't think in my house that it would be 50 feet away even if it was a couple of rooms away.

Don't think so; whatever works.

well...i don think so. im u sing my cell fone for alarm daily since so many mnths..

personally, i would put it as far away from you as possible, so that u can still hear it. i think the radiation thing is true. and you probably have more of a chance of having probelms later on if your using it as your alarm clock EVERY day
