Bubble gum. Sweet oil or olive oil may get you through the night to alleviate some of the pressure.
I did not know that peroxide burns the eardrum as I used to do this all the time as well. It always helped break up a lot of crap I had due to a cholesteatoma...but then again I had so much scar tissue on the eardrum maybe it did not matter.
Also some people say taking something like benadryl helps drain some of the tubes. I want to just add that be careful with this as one time I took one and so much stuff drained out of the canal it caused a lot of pressure to the eardrum and it actually ruptured.

There are over the counter products sold at any pharmacy. These products clean your ears by irrigating them safely.

Do not use hot or cold water. Cold water can shock your system and make you really dizzy or worse.

I had really clogged ears and didn't realize it. I ended up in the hospital with a horrid case of vertigo. Once the hospital decided I didn't have a brain tumor they unclogged my ears by irrigating them with plain water and a bulb.

Try an ear candle. I know it sounds made up but it's not. It's literally a small tapered candle you put in your ear encased in a hollow tube. The warmth from the candle melts the earwax and it drains into the tube. You'd be surprised how much wax can build up in your ear canal. They can be hard to find, but try a health food or organic store.
