It's not really lack of oxygen that leads to yawning as much as build up of carbon dioxide. The extra large breath helps to blow off the excess CO2. Being tired contributes to yawning and seeing another person yawn can make you yawn even if you have no other reason to.

Yawning is caused from a lack of oxygen. We are tired, our bodies slow down, we yawn. Some believe it is from our caveman days. It was sort of the universal sign for "it is bed time."

It's quit simple, you need more sleep. Adults should get a least 8 hours and teens 10 hours. When you get someone else yawning, then theres a problem. It may keep going for a while. They say it's because humans have a tendancy to copy, wether its subconscious or not!
