I believe they can...there's a certain antibiotic that I have taken that makes me want to rip my legs off and I feel like I'm going insane, so I'm sure that anxiety can be caused by them too. Ask to switch to a different one. Good luck.

I've never had anxiety from an antibiotic, but different medications can affect people differently. It's possible, but I wouldn't worry about it.

thats not a usual side effect. however, tension and other issues have been known to occur in some drugs. also, feelings of beeing 'wired' can occur. meaning you feel hyper or pumped. this can cause your mind to become stimulated i guess. id ask your doctor or look up the bactrim website and see if its on the list of side effects.
