I have a terrible cought and a fever!?!
Question: i have a really bad cough. it sound like it i sreally deep. i also have a fever. i am taking some cough medicine the doctor gave me but it isn't helping. i am also really tired and have trouble going to sleep because the cough is keeping me up.

Did your doctor say what's causing it? It may be bronchitis or pneumonia, or just a common cold. Maybe call your doctor and tell him/her that the medicine is not helping. Other than that, just wait it out. I hope you feel better soon!
Do not mix medications but I would recommend Nyquil. Puts you out like a light.
If you are running a fever, you probably need to take some antibiotics. Go back to the doctor, it could be pneumonia.
you don't say how high your fever is, but you are likely not drinking enough to replace what you lose from the fever, and that contributes to the cough, dry tissues and all. Suggest you start drinking a great deal of water, like at least two liters a day.
